I supose that my Temperature Sensor is ok but I bought a new one. In the bosch fuel injection book says that is one of the most important, then after 19 years, will be a good idea to change. Any type to change it ? Loctite ?.etc let me know regards |

Engine to DME temp sensor uses a gasket as it goes into the water jacket of the engine block. Has straight cut threads not tapered as in water pipes.
The single pole gauge sensor that's just behind the DME temp sensor is a tapered pipe thread. But mine goes into a blind hole -- not drilled through to the water jacket. I would condsider using teflon tape on both. Or a teflon paste.
