Hello everybody, I've got an 83 944, one of my fog lights burned out a while ago and i went to replace both bulbs today and found the screws on one side were stripped out by a previous owner and the other side had a self taping screw in it and I snapped the head of the other screw.... so... yeah... replacements are more then I'd like to spend on fog lights.
my question is has anyone had any luck with the Hella 550 kits sold here on Pelican? I noticed in the picture they look to mount from the bottom where as the OEM fog lights mount from the back, so I'm assuming there is drilling involved...? do I have to re wire them or can i just plug them into the old wiring for the fog lights?? anyone know of other kits or replacement parts for these fog lights?? Thanks in advance! ![]() |

I found a thread where people review those particular fog lights - I'm sure other members will also be able to throw in their 2 cents. Let us know if there's anything that we can help you with.

Thanks Dmitry! that thread defiantly has a good way to mount the lights, however my car is my daily driver and if at all possible I'd like the fog lights to stock. but I'll certainly keep that in mind. does give the car a "rally-ish" kinda look.

No problem at all - I'm sure there are other threads with more of a standard install guide. Try searching the threads for the fog lights you're interested in. Best of luck!
