If I install a Borla muffler and,...
... keep the stock exhaust pipe diameter, will I loose back pressure? I also have a some what of a free flow CAT too. Will I loose backpressure If I have a free flow cat and a Borla muffler using the stock exhaust pipe diameter?

You will loose some but not much that will make a difference.
If you want to see how gutless an NA can be. Pull the exhaust out in front of the CAT and drive it around (it will be a little noisy). You will be lucky to get it up to 60 mph. Now go and fix your head already. :D |
huh since i have everything but my exhaust manifold ill have to try that for fun:D i did run it whle the cat and all was off and man talk about noise an open pipe harley had nuttin on it

You can install a Borla, but the engine still won't run without the head on..let's get it running properly first??

Overkill. I put a B&B cat back system on my 87 944S. I really did feel a bit more torque in the midrange. I was once told by B&B that the "S" needs very little back pressure and runs better than other 944's with less back pressure. be sure to disconnect the battery so the benifits of the exhaust will come into play sooner. If you do not it may take several hundred miles for the DME to adjust and make full use of this mod.

Where can I look at some B&B exhaust systems? Do they have a site?
