Offset Cam Key Doesn't Fit
 

Installing a 4 degree offset camshaft key i the track car. Ran into a couple questions I hope someone has the answers for me.

First, the key has a thin side and a thick side. Which goes in the cam and which in the gear?

Next, the offset key has square ends where the stock key is rounded. The offset key will not fit. Should I take a file to the offset key and round the corners to make it fit?

I shot an email to 928 Motorsports and got a reply from Carl.

Answers:
Thick side in the camshaft, if it fits. Otherwise use the thin side.
File the corners round.

I did just that and am now able to move on to other tasks.
