Offset Cam Key Doesn't Fit
Installing a 4 degree offset camshaft key i the track car. Ran into a couple questions I hope someone has the answers for me.
First, the key has a thin side and a thick side. Which goes in the cam and which in the gear? ![]() Next, the offset key has square ends where the stock key is rounded. The offset key will not fit. Should I take a file to the offset key and round the corners to make it fit? ![]()

I shot an email to 928 Motorsports and got a reply from Carl.
Answers: Thick side in the camshaft, if it fits. Otherwise use the thin side. File the corners round. I did just that and am now able to move on to other tasks.
