AC evaporator access
AC evaporator is leaking. need to get at it. I have taken the instrument cluster out before - is that job the first part of this?
I read Clark's on how to get the heater out - no dash removal required. Is that procedure helpful to get at the AC evaporator? Heater Core Removal and Replacement

Early or late car?
Getting the evap out of An early car is a 45 minute job. Out of a late car, is the first step towards a bare chassis restoration

When we dismantled late model 944 cars, removing the AC evaporator was one of the last things we did.
We used to say that Porsche suspended the evaporator in midair, then built the car around it.
