Don,
That part is going to be hard to find, especially one that is still in great condition. Several auto tranny guys have taken a manual flywheel/clutch/pressure plate (You can get a used one for cheap from some guys here) and used that setup in place of the dampener. 944 Online will sell you a new one (Pelican too?) for slightly less than a grand... Thanks Keith, that's great info. I'm swapping a manual to an automatic and have the manual parts. I'll try that route since I'm trying to avoid the thousand dollar avenue for that little part. Do I need to make any modifications on the manual pressure plate prior to install? Thanks a bunch. Don

I think you should plan to use the torque tube from the automatic as the rear flex plate needs to mount to it with 4 bolts.
Leaving out the throwout bearing and release fork I think was done where no clutch / linkage / slave cylinder was present and those parts rattled. I’d bet if all those parts are already there…doubtful it would rattle and it could let you go back to the 5 speed easier if you save your axles.
