Cool 928S Seats..

Stopped by a buddies shop today, and noticed a very sad 928S on the side, opened the door and it has a super cool seats in it.

Turns out it was the 928 that was special ordered for Debra Gregg (Peter Gregg's widow, who ended up with Brumos for a while)
Very sad sight, the current owner has let it decay (and he can afford to fix it, just a cheap SOB) and it could be a neat cat, Peal white. I'll get pix of the rest next time I stop by.

That's a little Boat Upholstery looking to me, but cool nonetheless. I see your into Vintage BMX. So am I. Raced 13 to 18 Expert back in the 80's. I still have my 1981 GT Pro Frame and Fork, I just need to find someone cheap to re-chrome. The last place I checked wants $300. I said EFFF that!

Why don't you call the guy and buy it from him. Is it modified in any other way? You should pick it up as a potentially special 928.

I know, huh? the Bike Shop name was "Magic Mushroom Cyclery" and was located in Glendale, California. Funny name but wasn't so funny to other racers when it was the back of my Jersey that they always saw.

Hahahahaha so true. Should've known it was in Cali. Only there could they get away with a name like that.

Yup, started young as well, also became a Freestyler as well after BMX. Mohawk too. I can't find any pics while Freestyling though. I think my hardest trick I did was the Cherry Picker. 50 Cal thrown in for giggles.

Awesome BMX pics. I was obsessed with BMX back then, too. My best bike was a Voris Dixon Changa "Long". Incredible bike, and it was stolen from me.

They go for around $4000 now on eBay. I bought mine used for $125.

I am new to the forum and very impressed by the across the board knowledge and interest. My daughter is into BMX. One of her best friends is Vince Byron, who is on the Dew tour. He stayed at our house for a while and what a nice guy.He got me interested in the sport.

What an exciting sport!

"that's one bigass trophy! Lol" I had many smaller ones but this is the only one that I kept through the years. It's actually sitting 4 feet from me now in my Home Office.
