To powerflex or not to powerflex
Hi
I'm changing out my struts and springs all around for the Bilstein B6's. With stock springs. I needed a quick yes or no on the following issue. At the same time I was going to remove the top upper wishbone and replace the bushes with the Powerflex bushes. Yes no?????? I have mixed reports on them and did not want cause more issues later. I have read all about them and am confused ![]() The upper wishbone is toooooo expensive to replace

I recommend it. They are pricey but worth it. The lowers allow the LCA to move more freely up and down with the suspension and the uppers reduce free play considerably allowing the upper ball joint to remain in it's intended plane of motion. With a good set of tires the Powerflex items transform the driving experience.

I am so glad you recommending them as I had already sheepishly ordered them but was about to cancel the order if nobody recommended them.
Thank you very much. If I'm lucky I'll do a write up on them after install. let you know my pennies worth ![]()

You can replace the bushes in the upper wishbones, but if you're as unlucky as me you will find the ball joints wear out shortly afterwards
Alternatively you can get beautifully rebuilt wishbones from Prekom, with a core charge that is refunded upon return of your old wishbones I prefer the rubber bushes anyway |
