Question Identify wiring

I have a RHD 928S 1982

It has had quite a rebuild but the electrician did not finish his part, I have a number of wires dangling that I cannot identify, nearly everything works but I cannot find out why these are not connected, photos are from the centre of the car in the region of the rear of the stereo

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Paul

Original stereo is no longer there, there were wires under the seat that used to goto an amp

i can't really help you identifying those wires but these cars had a lot of option choices when new - mobile phone, cd changer, alarm...stuff like that - so they could be from one of those - i know i pulled a lot of wires from the console to the missing amplifier and fader knob on mine

You said "nearly everything works?" So what doesn't' work? Might give you a clue on where to look.

The central locking does not work and I cannot find the button for the central locking either, what are the wire colours for this?

You need a schematic diagram to trace the wires. I think you can find one on line. Just do a search "Porsche 928 wiring", I found quite a few.

the wiring diagrams for these cars is pretty useless as far as i'm concerned - try following the wires to their other end - there is a central lock controller box back there somewhere

The German schematics are a little different but once you understand their way of showing things you can follow it.
