Flywheel lock tool
Hi
Porsche 1986 s2 AUTO Do i put flywheel locking tool where starter motor goes .Or is there another place like on the manual cars.Thanks |

I believe all the automatic cars have a small blanking plate where the clutch slave cylinder would normally mount up on the 5spd cars. Remove the blanking plate (two 13mm bolts?) and install the flywheel lock in its place.

That's correct. The automatics have a block off plate in place of the clutch slave cylinder. I don't recommend securing the flywheel lock with the bolts that hold the block off plate in place. The block off plate bolts are too short for good thread engagement and will strip out of the housing threads when used with the flywheel lock.
Match up the bolt threads and get longer bolts. The holes go all the way through and have plenty of room behind them, so you don't have to worry about getting exactly the right length. |
