Odometer not working

I have a 1980 Euro 928. And the odometer/tripodometer doesn't work. How would one fix that.....? Is this a difficult job???
Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Does the speedometer work? Have you recently reset the tripometer while the car was moving?

I don't know how to fix it, but before I took deliervy of my car from a dealer the odometer was not working (and yes...I bought it anyway!). He had it fixed and said it was very simple to do. Good luck.

Your odometer gear is bad. NEVER press the trip reset button on these cars. Here is a write up and a place to buy the gear.

John is right, never reset your trip while the car is moving. Make sure the car is stopped and off...or just leave it.

The gear is made of a light plastic, which when you try to reset the trip while the car is moving it snaps it.
