Price Check on Wheels

Hello-got a set of chrome 928 wheels that I am looking to sell and trying to get an idea on price to ask. They are 7 and 8 x 16s, Porsche part numbers 928-362-115 for the 7s and 928-362-117 for the 8s. 7Jx16 ET 65 and 8Jx16 Et52. Wheels are in very good (but not concours) condition. I have looed around the net (ebay and the various P boards) but haven't seen anything similar for comparison. TIA, Jim

These sell all over the place, there have been a set for $200 on craigslist not too far from me, and I have seen $600 to $800, mostly depending on the exact condition and location. One mans concourse wouldn't go on anothers daily driver, so YMMV.

There is a general trend away from the 16" wheels, so supply exceeds demand.

I've been holding out for a nice set with good tires in the $300 to $500 range.

To sell them at top price on ebay I would suggest buying a decent set of center caps, shining the wheels up nice and clean, and take a good picture of; all four, each wheel, every defect on each wheel, plus where they came from that would make you think they are all true, non bent, non repaired, ready for high speed 928 fun.

Good luck.

Worth more if the chrome is good w/no pits.

Not good news. I bought a set last year at the Potomac Parts Swap for $100. One was near scrap but usable. One was good enough to keep. I gave the other two away to some 944 racer for rain tires. They like em because they are stronger than 944 wheels.
