Surprisingly yes, one or two people fall for that every month.
Mark Kibort is somehow associated with it, the name is on his race car I think, and he vigorously defends it. It takes something like 75 amps to run that fan, which in my mind ranks the output a bit less than my ShopVac, no thanks. YMMV

Yeah for $600 it didn't seem too good...
plus, it only spools up when you have the pedal on the floor, so I know if I were to get that my MPG would go down... drastically |

I don't think anybody here is looking to improve the MPG, we all want to make it worse. If one of these fans would help me use more gas I would be trying it out, and there would be a line ahead of me. I just don't think it does much of anything and adds complexity.
When or if I need to get good MPG, I will drive something else.
