Anyone dealt with the "stuff" at the bottom of the doors?
My 944 has this also..some kind of anti-corrosion or anti-chiping substance put on the metal before it is painted? Runs along the bottom of the doors and continues front and back to the fender wells.
On my 928 it started to detach from the door bottom, I was wondering if anyone knows how to repair it or strip it off completely? Eventually i will be stripping this car (with chemical stripper) and repainting so I wonder if that will take it off? maybe heat? I really don't like the look of it, but if repair is easier I would gladly do that...anyone else have this problem?

Thanks...it looks like someone started peeling it away, so i can't just glue it back in place..but i wonder if you could make an acceptable "patch" with Bondo or similar that would accept paint
