"dinging" won't stop
Hey guys,
yesterday I was driving and the power window fuse blew, and possibly the cigarette lighter fuse. The red warning light on the dash started to flash and 'ding'. I pushed the warning light which turned it and the dinging off. All seemed well. I got home and replaced the fuses and started the car and dinging won't stop. The warning light is not flashing, and no other fuses are bad (that I can see). I also took the positive off the battery hoping to 'reset' the system. Still dinging. Maybe I need to take the positive and the negative off? Has this happened to anyone. Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks in advance. Mat

Maybe you have a shorted wire, check for an abnormal drain on the battery (engine and key off, put an ampmeter between the battery and the ground cable).
