is anyone know of the company DEVEK

first off let me say, that i have ordered parts from Pelican parts, and will continue to do so, so I am not trying to undermine the forum or Pelican, I have been very happy with the sales and service from my contacts at Pelican, my aim is to find some information, On the web I came across some info about a repair procedure, and the thread said to contact DEVEK, I can't find DEVEK on the web or business listing, did they go out of business? - are they operating under another name? were they a big outfit? thanks for the help, and thanks to those that respond.
just one other item: I thought airplane maintenance was expensive!!! - I had no idea that TLC meant Truck loads of cash!

AFAIK, they still have a sales center, but recently closed their service department. They have not had an accessible website in recent years.

If you have a question about a service proceedure you can probably find someone familiar with it here or at Rennlist.

I know guys that spend way more on their old Mustang than I do on my 928, P51 Mustang.

Like the other guys said, DEVEK has switched modes from everyday service to more R&D project type stuff.

You know, I was thinking the other day that 928 owners years ago would refer to the most popular 928 vendors as the Big 3, meaning Devek, 928 Intl. and 928 Specialist. I know Devek's founder Marc Thomas is still very involved with 928 development and has produced some really nice high performance parts for these cars. I'm not really sure that they continue to be a 928 parts supplier, however again I am not sure. It seems like every now and then I see something like Devek headers or radiators for sale but not sure who they are supplying them too or if that is old new stock.

Now when I think of the Big 3, I still think of 928 Spec and 928 Intl and I have since added 928 Motorsports to my speed dial menu. We're lucky to have those folks!

Devek is still around but they are not working on customers cars as much. There has been a transition period for them.

Anymore, there is the Big Four. 928int, 928spec, 928rus, Devek. I have used all of them and can say that 928rus has a man that is truely a joy to do buisness with. Yes, Roger is new, but very well informed.

Since they pay for this forum I look first at Pelican for parts,
if I need it NOW I drive over to 928Intl,
if I need it from Porsche I check with Sunset Porsche,
If its generic I check ********.com,
If I need it cheap I check with other owners and look on ebay and try some google searches.

If your a real mechanic, then SSF is very hard to beat.

Marc is trying to break 600 WHP with a stroker motor these days. There should be some interesting results from many in the near future!

I've had good luck dealing with DEVEK, across a continent. Their service was very good; I bought motor mounts and one of their radiators from them.

Their DEVEK radiator failed less than 3 years after I installed it. $800....

Susan, the wife of the owner, was very supportive, gave me tons of information and really did try to make my situation better. But I still spent $400 buying an original radiator from 928 International to solve the problem.

Lesson learned. Guess who I buy parts from now-

I enjoyed buying from all the vendors in the past. Nothing but positive things to say.
