928 S4 hatch receiver electrical connections

I am in the process of replacing the hatch receiver on my 1988 928 S4. The Rear Lid Wiring (part# 92861203701) has two connectors, one that gets bolted to the bottom of hatch receiver and another that gets slid on a black plastic peg. The black plastic peg on my car appears to have broken off from where it was attached to and is currently being held by the connector that attaches to it. Can any you tell me where this black peg attaches to and how I can correctly reattach it? Thanks!

I know this has been discussed over on the Rennlist 928 forum before.

Try a search over there as well:

I checked Rennlist and although I found several threads on the hatch receiver, I found nothing about where the rear lid wiring connects. Any other suggestions on where I might look?

I don't really know what you are asking... do you have a photo of this?

I think you mean the connector on the bottom of the shaft that when compressed disconnects the alarm.

I think I have figured it out...I believe it is the pin for the hatch light. Thank you!
