Installing front fender splash shields on a S4

I just ordered new front fender splash shields, seals, and hardware for my 1988 928 S4. Can any of you tell me if I am suppose to use an adhesive to secure the seals in the groves of the splash shields or I am just suppose to press them into place?

Also, should I install my front spoiler before installing the splash shields? Any installation tips would be greatly appreciated!

the seals just fit into the splash shields and are held by friction. Install the front spoiler 1st. you will also need to remove the fender liners so its safe to say you have to have the car off the ground with the front tires removed.
