as I recall, phone dials came in both 15 and 16 inch varieties. they were found on 924/944/ and 928. I do not recommend 15 inch phone dials as those tire sizes are becoming increasingly hard to get---16's are headed that way as well. no tire size smaller than a 225/50/16 for 928 either, as it is a heavier car and needs some meat underneath you.....

if you look on the back of most Porsche wheels, you can find the wheels size (ex: 15x6) and the offset (ex: et 55mm) on the backside of the wheel.....

the largest size tire wheel package for the OB is (using Porsche wheels):

18 x 10 et 67mm front
18 x 11 et 67mm rear

or

19 x 8 et 55 front
19 x 11 et 67mm rear

tire sizes vary, but you should be able to go 245x35x19 front and 315x25x19 rear
18 inch sizes aren't much different, just smaller.

customs are a whole different ball game...and a whole lot more money.

you can use most anything smaller than these--your choice.

the phone dials are made of alloy, can be polished to a mirror finish with the right touch---

stock wheels for '80 would have a 65mm offset and be either 15 (rare for '80) or 16
I'd recommend moving up to a 17, you'll get a wider range of available wheels and tires

Bolt pattern is 5 x 130. They are made of aluminum and can be polished.
