OB knock detection

I'm going to have the body of my intake off soon to rework the vacuum lines on my 84 Euro motor, and I am thinking "while I'm already in there" maybe I should put in a couple knock detector things even if they are only used during shark tuning and even then via some aftermarket box.

Any suggestions on which knock detection devices and/or box to use them with?

Up to 86.5, there is only room for one knock sensor, at the front. You'll need a used S4 plug to mount it. (AFAIK, noone has found a part number for it new.)

I used a KnockLite for the display. I also made a automatic retard using the KnockLite's 5v low output.

After all this, I find that S3s are highly resistant to knocking.

So this vampire system will work off of a single knock sensor, like what Porken installed in his?

I have an S4 plug and knock sensor to put on my engine, how would this system integrate with the LH2.2 & EZ-F brains using the sharktuner?

Any Bosch sensor will work. I used an S4 sensor because the pigtail keeps the connection out of the muck. Because I have the auto retard circuit, I didn't need the EZ-F air temp sensor, so I reused it's wires to the EZ-F for the sensor.

I have since reduced the KnockLite sensitivity to 11 (1 is most sensitive). On the dyno, I unplug it.

The Vampire can retard individual cylinders, whereas my DIY circuit can only retard all the cylinders using the octane loop.
