Haha nice. I don't know the year of the one in my package as I haven't taken them out. But since it has already been opened I may go ahead just to see what it is.

I also had a 1/24 scale plastic 928 model as a child. It was the S version with the spoilers and phone dials. The engine wasn't really put togther. It was just a plate inside the engine compartment. That model was cool because it actually had metal axles and rolled well. I could actually play with it like a matchbox car which meant I broke it. Bummer. I wish I wasn't such a terrible kid.
Then again, I grew up and now I try my damndest to break real 928s. lol I call it pointing out their weaknesses. :D MORE 928s! |
My faithful '80 5-SP .... had it since '85, and it had sat in storage for 3 of the previous years.

I'll add this better photo of my 86.5 and these others from Germany.
Another photo of the funky 928 race car, the front this time, and the 928 we would all want for hauling the family around and only Ferry Porsche could get it built. 928 station wagon anyone... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1326639224.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1326639326.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1326639470.jpg |
Kids playing with whiteboard-markers, inspired much? :D

Richard R, the Max Moritz car is awesome. The station wagon on the other hand is not my cup of tea. It reminds me of an AMC pacer (not good). I think we can be glad that was only a prototype. Although, you can totally see that Mazda ripped off this 4 door idea for the RX8.
Riber.Bentsen, the Citroen 2CV is a pretty good likeness too. Post on shark owners. Great stuff! |

This is a good comparison between a 28 year old super car and a modern super car.

I'm willing to bet that the 928 rides a lot better than that viper....
|
Anyone notice the Headlights walking in front of the Viper? Lol

Love those wheels, have them on my turbo car now, 295/30 R888's on the rear now: can still spin them at 40-50mph when cold but no longer at 90mph! :)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1327094203.jpg
