As far as I know you have S brakes and will need to upgrade spindles and A arms to use larger brakes.

Are you having trouble with your brakes?

Iīm feeling them a little bit spongy... But the truth is that the previous owner hasnīt change the brake fluid, so i guess itīs been there for quite a while...

Iīll start by changing the brake fluid to Atre Super Blue and then see what happens.
Thanks for the help!

Fresh fluid and the stock S brake should be fine.

Porsche brakes may also take a bit more force before you reach max braking than you may be used to from other cars.

Brake fluid should be changed every two years on street cars. Coolant is the same. Most never do either.

Damn, every 2 years. I totally never did this on any of my many cars I've owned throughout my life. Good to know.

It depends on which oversized brakes you want to replace your fully adequate brakes with, and how much money you want to unnecessarily spend in doing it. S4 brakes can also work with old 1979 parts using an adapter I think, but bigger brakes than the S4 need different options.

S4 upgrade on mid year car requires 78-80 spindles, new a arms and adaptor...
or you could just swap an S4 suspension on it

Hey 123,

change your title to 1983 instead of 1993. this way future searches won't get buggered up.
