odd color made him buy it

i Emailed the buyer of my 78 cashmere beige 928 who lives in Germany..and asked him, why did you buy a 928 in the USA...why not just buy one in germany....he told me...the color sold him!

Sooo... The deal went through? Would be interested in knowing how you proceed w/ sale. You take it to the dock, set up shipping, not out of your pocket, might get $$. Just curious? Well its going home after 31 years. I thought that car (from pic's and your description was quite special) rare color and good shape! Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
John

I bought both my 928's sight-unseen from overseas. Both purchases involved no cash commitment from owner - after PPI/inspection, I paid deposit, got receipt/invoice, paid balance and the car was picked up at my expense by my shipping company of choice.

Some countries require the previous owner to hand in the plates to de-register the car, but thats about the only part that may be demanded of the owner other than being around at a time that suits for pickup by the shipping company.

its more fun than making me rich..lol.....but yes i do make a little on them...its slowed right down now with the way the economy is...and its not just here in the USA.....the whole world is hurting...my buyers have a budget of around 2-3k a car....with the exchange rate for them...its not in there favour
