I am sure Alan knows exactly what that Red/Green wire goes to. Calling Alan!
|
Looking at the relay and in particular the wire colors on the aftermarket relay harness I'm going with aftermarket alarm system. Looks like the coil lockout relay. I'm 4 days into my first Porsche too but have alot of chops. A beer if we ever cross paths says that wire across the block goes to the coil and the red/yellow wire is the factory coil feed.

OK Gents,
NOID light checks out on all 8, starts idle's so so still.. Timing sounds a bit off Have not hit up the compression test yet |
Noid light means signal to all 8 is OK, but do all 8 make a nice clicking sound?
|
Yep all 8 sound like little crabs.. I just got them back from being rebuilt and flow matched..

OK OK OK UPDATE............
Since I went through and re checked and double checked all injectors and signal I decided to start the 928 and feather the throttle until it got warm. It sat after 2 mins and re-idled itself and simply sat and hummmmmed.. I know it’s not 100%, but its enough for me to get wood over........ After all it hasn’t "run" since mid 2006 and I just wanted to hit "warm" so I could change the oil... WE DID IT BOYS... now on to the next issue.... TUNE UP... Suggestions..????!!!! IDEAS?? BUDGET! |
So you did nothing with the relay in question? Just to be clear.
|
MPDANO..
Nada.. i double checked and cleaned the connections... |
I do have noid lights that plug into our Bosch injector harness's. They come in handy. Great way to determine visually and quickly if injectors are being electrically controlled.
