cruise control doesnt work

1985 928s 5 speed.
I checked the fuse and its good. The fuse also says is euns the brake lights and they do work. I am guessing there is no on and off switch or dash light saying cruise is engaged. Where should I start?
Thank you Sean

do you have the WSM?
If not then that is where to start. you need to get your hands on one.
Could be sensor in the trans the switch on the column the brain or the actuator or the cable

No idea what a wsm is. The speedo and tach work. The odometer just quit.

WSM = work shop manual, Jim Morehouse sells a good copy for your puter, with this it will give you information on your that can save you untold millions of dollars that you would otherwise spend figuring out things for your self.
I would strongly recommend that you get the CD version or the printed version
