ive seen another one thought it was this site but was using the wire method although would have been install, where you put seal on glass lay wire insert glass and from inside pulling the wire around will catch and pull the lip on seal sealing window in.

Good used rear quarter glass is cheap, seals are expensive. If your seals are good, not 30 year old artifacts, break the glass and keep the seals. If the seals are old and need replacing anyway, cut the seal and save the glass.

This is install and NOT removal. I used this trick to install and it worked flawless.

What??? My rubber is like new, but I still don't want to replace the glass. I'm going to fool around with it, if I'm able to get it out safely, I will let you know how to do it...

correct thought where ive seen the install it being easy peasy flawless that an easy unistall could be found and easier than the PORTIA'S PARTS RESTORATION removal its there if you go the route of saving glass and seal. Most do pick the seal or glass and do the install if you get seal removed and are ok i have 2 for one clear 78euro quarter glass if you want it.

no comment on the fuchs the phone dials were sold and 67 912 is on blocks restoration and took and threw these on to be able to move it about still. anyway heres clear 78euro quarter glass if int.

to remove the quarter glass first remove the plastic trim thats pressed into it spray soapy water on the plastics so they dont rip the rubber when you remove them , dont bend them they have a metal band inside them. then working from thew top corner inside the car gently push the rubber portion of the seal inwards to the window with your helper hold the glass work you way along the top of the seal gently pushing it this will begin to release the rubber and the whole glass rubber can be lifted out.
If the rubber is boded to the window frame then you may need to fit some mechanics wire through the seal to body, to cut the bonding, use WD40 if you go this route to help soften the sealant

yeah but seems to want to save both flathead screwdriver - spacers for in between body and gasket (use flooring spacers,home depot) lots of liquid, greasy ones, not of the alcohol type again portia's parts restoration - click technical , exterior, glass, qua glass for removal you didnt ask if possible you ask for tricks -- i dont think so -- time and skill seems the best your gonna get no trick there , but possible to do, yep.
