if this is your first time of checking the front pinch bolt make sure to check the rear pinch bolt as well, I have seen more than a few of the rear bolts loose or just snug.

So what does this mean Blythe? Did you get your Fuel Distributor sorted? I was going to see how things were going tomorrow. What's the verdict?

Flex plate was related to the car that is now sold. I'm not sure if it ever did get checked.

Is there a piece to remove in the back to check the rear pinch collar bolt? I don't remember seeing one back there; then again I never really looked as I was dealing ATF leaks coming from the bottle at the time.

to get to the rear pinch bolt the exhaust must be dropped and the center heat shield must be removed and then there is a small rubber plug in the rear bottom of the TT, pull the plug and then turn the engine till you can see the bolt head.
set the torque wrench to 66ft/lb and then remove the bolt and see how much it takes to turn it,once the bolt is out check the shanks for wear this will happen if the bolt was loose and is caused by the driveshaft moving in the coupler. If the bolt is damaged then replace it with the correct bolt IIRC its a hi strength bolt 12.2 .
Center the driveshaft in the trans input shaft coupler then tighten the bolt.
Then tighten the frotn bolt after prying the flex plate/flywheel back
