Replaced Fuel Pressure Regulator

I just replaced my pressure regulator and I am getting no fire. There is pressure to the regulator but it is definitely not passing through. What am I missing.

not enough info.....

please add year model and such, and are you not getting fuel after the change or just no spark...

to me, you seem to be saying it's just a fuel issue. was this a new part, or used replacement. either way, the replacement part ain't doing it's job if no fuel--

The car is 1 of 3 modified 928's called a Wolf. It has a fiberglass aftermarket body with a 1986 s4 engine and drive train. The car was running before I changed the regulator, it would not restart after running for a period of time. Almost like it was vapor locked, but it wasn't. There is plenty of spark and I purchased the regulator from Pelican. Do you have to bleed these after installation?

First guess is that you replaced the wrong item.

Lots more detail and pictures please.

Model year of the chassis, Motor ID off the block, which version of LHjet etc. you are running. Pictures will help.

Basic checks, fuel, spark, and compression.

I like to see spark verified a few ways including using a timing light to check timing.

Fuel is pressure to the injector rails, electrical signal at the injector, and clicking sound of injectors operating.

Compression with a compression test, but I check the easy stuff first.

the fuel pressure regulator is at the back of the right cylinder bank, then there are 2 dampers one on the left front of the DS cylinder head and then one at the back of the DS cylinder head.
Make sure the parts numbers match and then there are no plugs in the lines of the new part

The car was running before I changed the regulator. This is a single regulator design with it's location in the front of the fuel rails. There is pressure on the inlet to the regulator but it is not passing any gas to either rail. Compression is fine, spark is fine and there are no plugs in the regulator. I pulled the two rail lines off and fired the car and no gas went through the regulator. I cracked the compression fitting on the inlet to the regulator and was sprayed with fuel so there is pressure. My question would be, how much. Is it possible that the fuel pump does not have enought pressure to overcome the diaphragm pressure in the regulator? Could this all be a fuel pump failure?

could be you bought a regulator that doesn't work.

fuel pumps have been known to not provide enough pressure when they start to fail, so measuring the pressure at the regulator may be your next move.

you replaced the damper with the regulator refit the last piece that you removed and remove the FPR at the rear of the right cylinder head, if in fact you have a 1986 then there should be 3 similar looking parts see post #5
