Free Used 928 Parts
Howdy Gang,
I'm setting up a Free Parts page- and wanted to get some feedback from you as to what items we should put there. I would like to put things like torque tubes, suspension parts, chassis, old seat cores, dash cores... etc etc.. Things that take up space! Please feel free to add items to this list, and I will be using your input next week to launch this thing. |

I think that is a great idea Mason. If you can make what you need off of x number of profitable parts and not just throw away parts that are slow sellers taking up space. I think that could bennifit all of us. Would all of the free stuff be local pickup only or would you be willing to ship stuff?

Cool.... that's exactly how I hoped it would be. Yes, that's the plan.
We're cooking up the idea, and it's almost ready. Getting input from the gang on what to do is always a nice thing. I will ship it, absolutely. |

Probably rims, exhaust and maybe some small bit that don't sell well.

Mystery box time. Put a bunch of related parts in a box get the shipping price figured out and whoever pays shipping gets a mystery box of parts on their doorstep. Thanks for the continuing support Mason.

I vote for the $10 flatrate priority mail Box of Cr@p.
Mystery meat from the rotting corpse of a 928. Hey kids, not just Mason, its a fun game we can all play. Makes a lovely gift for the wife or kids (who really looks in a gift box anyway?) |

Priority mail medium flat rate box, addressed online its $9.85, free delivery confirmation, no need to weigh etc., but has to close normally, 11" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Plenty of interesting things can fit in one box, and boxes are free from the post office.
OTOH I'm not sure giving stuff away is a great business model, or that boxes of random content will make too many happy. ![]() |

Mason I would be interested in a 5 speed TT, bearings can be fried, ball cup destroyed, etc. I just need it for R&D.
Let me know what you want for one. Its the longer one I need. Cheers |
