Replace wheel on regulator arm

Does anyone know the proper method to attach a new nylon wheel to the regulator arm in an 80 928? I purchased a replacement wheel and "stud" and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to make the stud stay in the hole the original one came out of. Does it need to be welded, brazed or pressed (mushroomed), or is there some other way to attach it?

I think he is asking about the door glass regulator?
Is this right?

Yes, referring to the door glass regulator. There is a plastic wheel at the end of the "arm" that rides in a track attached to the window. The wheel on my passenger door is missing. I ordered the part from 928intl.com and was wondering how I'm supposed to attach it.

to fix this you need to remove the regulator from the door, this happens after you remove the center guide tube that the window rides on.
Once you have the regulator out then you have some options.
To fit the new parts,
to make something that will work
To take it to someone else that will do the above.

I went to the ACE hardware and found a plastic roller with a few spacers and then drilled out the rivet that was holding the previous roller and with a screw and nut made a new part to fit the arm. The screw was hardened and then loctited so it wouldnt come loose and I could make it as tight as I needed.
For you since you have the new roller and pin you will need to peen the new pin into the old hole, really a rivet clamp tool or a press would be best to do this as smacking with a hammer isnt usually enough force.

Note make sure to lubricate the arm pivot pin in the center of the spring, if this is done it will reduce the amount of force that the arm must produce to lift the window and thus reduce the forces that all of the lifting parts see
