Looking for 87+ 928
I sold my Chevy powered 80 928, so once I deliver it at the end of this month, I'll be looking for an 87 or newer 928 to replace it.
Something in good shape, no projects unless its only the interior that needs work. ![]() ![]() Preferably white or non metallic blue. Don't want red, black or any metallic color unless its happens to be a five speed manual. Budget is under 15K. bob@928leathershop.com

Black and Tan, Great interior no rips or tears, strong automatic transmission, new tires, sunroof, all leather inside, newer freon system, no dents never wrecked, recent cam chain tensioner, belt, and water pump. Average retail NADA 14,800.00 high retail 19,500.00 this car is in above average retail condition. Will take $13,000 may consider trade of equal value.

Replacement engine
Yes it does have a replacement motor, lost my original motor to rev limiter failure. All cylinders lost compression at the same instant as nica-seal in all cylinder was lost, porsche just scratched their heads could never get an explanation as to how this could happen, can happen with automatic when racing around and flooring the car while in 3rd and it dropping all the way to 1st at 50+ mph Mili second later motor gone. I spent $9,000 to fix this accident.

Wild guess, but spin a motor too fast and the first thing that happens is the valve train going out of control. The spring force isn't sufficient to keep the valve in contact with the lifter and the cam, and I think the spring over heats and breaks or something.
Makes me wonder what actually occurred in the motor. |
