928 Panamera side by side

I took some pictures of the new Panamera today it is a stunning car, but it is a bit bigger than the 928
The interior is very nice, the seats are comfortable and with 4 people in the car it still felt roomy.
The rear spoiler was also cycled pretty cool how it works.
As far as what it will be like to work on the car when its 20YO there are quite a few aluminum bolts used in its assembly.
I saw the cam covers looking like they would use torx drive

That car is big, isn't it.

I suspect the Panamera will be a big hit in South Florida. Hot cars are almost considered part of your attire down here, where even your waiter drives a Bentley.

[The 928 is a BIG hit. The timeless design makes people think it is only a few years old, and the cognoscenti drool over it too]

Really, if you go to South Beach or Miami's design district, or Los Olas in Fort Lauderdale, you'll find the trophy wives all driving MB, BMW, Maserati, Lexus... and now Porsche. That car will be perfect since the blonde can drive it to the salon during the day, and at night to the restaurant. And once in a while the husband can get the keys and go work off some work aggravation via the V8 soundtrack.

I still have some reservations about that rear end though-

N!

If you chop out the rear door section, put it in a shrink ray set at 90%, it would be a nice car.

Who says front engine Porsches have to be limousines? They're like 'Vettes, only this one is really long.

I know, apples/oranges, different era's, etc., etc. but IMHO this pic shows the 928 to be the better-looking car!

Normy- I like how you parked your 928 in front to block the view of passer-byers. I realize I'm still in the minority, but I like the new 4 dooor just as it is. However, I like it as a stand-alone; I'm not comparing it to a 928, 911, or any other Porsche model. Each of these is in its own category, in my opinion, and should be considered separately. I know there are many Porsche owners that disagree with this view, especially the 928 vs. 911 crowd, but it's my two cents.

P.S. I bridged the elec. fan like you suggested and it works perfectly. Thanks for the advice.
