Ignition coil advice

Hi Guys

I have ordered a new wire set for my car.
when I tried to put it on, I have noticed that my ignition coil has a "Pin" connector which doesnt fit to the new ignition wire as you can see in the attached pictures
The ignition coil that I have is : 0 221 118 335 which fits the later 928 models...mine is 1980.
What do you think is better to do? look for the correct ignition coil that should be 0 221 122 01 or just to replace the wire connection so it will fit my ignition coil?

ummm.... i wouldnt think that buying parts for a different model and putting it on your car hoping it will work is such a good idea. i dont really know though. the coils might be one of those interchangeable parts. i know mine is an 1982 S euro and it has the type of plug that the new wires have.

So i take it that those new wires are specific for your 1980. Correct? If so, I would get a 1980 model Bosch Coil.
