I can't thank Bob from the 928 Leather Shop* Porsche Dashboard Restoration Seat Covers Hoodliners enough for his persistence with the releathering of my 1985 911 dash. What a nightmare!!! He was able to reform the warped core. (after visiting multiple times with my service tech for measurements) It is tough to find committed people out there who care about their work and will stick to making the finished product right. thanks again Bob. Now its almost winter here in Michigan so i can just stare at the dash until spring time!!!

here is a question i have been wondering, what is the difference in quality of work and materials between the 928 Leather Shop and something done by Paul Champagne?

Do you need to ask this? Really, look at Pauls work and try and compare the two. Really no comparison. You'll pay big time for Pauls expertise though.

Its a fair question, but one that only has a personal answer for the party having the work done, but I don't know of any of either of their customers that has been unsatisfied with the quality of work. Both in general use the same suppliers and have the same grades of materials available. Both of them have prices listed on their web sites, and they seem to me competitive to any quality shop.

Links to the sites and price lists. Rob is $1250 for two seats in leather plus $350 to install. Paul is $1275 plus $250 to install, but he does have a LOT of more expensive options to the stock factory look. Both are reasonable enough that nobody should make do with a crappy interior.

Wow, good find. I didn't know Rob was as comparable to Paul in pricing.
Although, it seems from posts I have read, Rob may be a lot easier to get work done. I remember trying to get a dashboard cover to do myself and Paul would not let me buy it as a self-install, and his wait time was a couple months. Or it may have been a Pod Cover. I guess it's all a give and take. Each scenario will be a different type of thing. The one only thing I bought from Rob was a Carpet Kit and he was A+. Missing or pieces not fitting correctly were fixed right away. I have never dealt with Paul, except not being able to buy a self-install Dash/Pod Cover. That was kind of a turn off for me though.
