Can you flush/clean oil cooler

I have my radiator out of may car which hasn't been run in several years. There is a lot of debris in the oil inlets and outlets. looks like hose bits. Is there a way to flush this out myself or does it have to be done at radiator shop. I thought about blowing air from bottom, or chem tool or oil in reverse flow direction. Gunar- 82 Euro S 5spd

I would let the pros do it. I believe they can acid wash that bad boy good as new. Take it to a good recommended radiator shop and see what they say.

I would spray some brake cleaner into the oil cooler and let the tank sit for a while till the debris are loose then rinse out with some engine gunk and water then see how clean things look . If they should acid dip the tank the end tank O rings could be damaged and this could lead to a leaking radiator

Brake clean then water did the trick. It's shiny and clean with high flow. Thanks Merlin

Awesome!

I've been wondering about the tranny fluid in the cooler lines and cooler. I want to drain/fill, but I want to get it all out, not just some of it and still have the old fluid from the cooler mixed in.
