workshop manual

where on earth can i get a good manual for the 928:confused:

If you visit Disneyland in SoCal I could let you look at mine. ;)

Don't buy the CD off ebay or other advertised locations, its a copy of the work a guy on rennlist did. If you don't feel his work should be paid for, do a google search for porsche 928 manual, and you should see a site called something like cannel.uk and there also is a bit torrent, both free downloads.

To pay for the work of collecting and scanning all the manuals, talk to Roger at 928's R Us USA and he can ship you a CD or set of CDs.

The 9 volume notebook set is very handy to have, they turn up on ebay, but best to keep an eye out here or rennlist in the classified section. You can also print sections out of the CD, even enlarged prints of things like wiring diagrams, but the notebooks are easiest to browse etc.

Look for a file called Index, or try another from a better source.

Not factory installed, could be alarm, could be to see the handles in the dark, many put a glow dot on the interior door handle.

I have a very good copy of the workshop manual in pdf form which if anyone wants for free, id appreciate the buck or so for shipping a cd maybe through paypal. conatct me through email at hkp7@live.com or call me 216-233-5127. And maybe somehow arrange an online upload. I am est. In Cleveland Ohio, But call anytime, I have voicemail. These forums have helped me with my 84 and Id like to repay the favor.

Really easiest way to get the manuals and not pay for the work to scan them and convert all the images to searchable text is to download or even faster the bit torrent.

mitsy 11-24-2009 11:11 AM

DA is the air fed palm sander, and the lights were off no matter now they are history, tell you what though these puppies take some rubbing down,oh and what is the bit torrent if it is to do with computers it wont matter cause i wont understand still learning to type lol ill try HKP7 for a cd

Danglerb 11-24-2009 12:46 PM

When you are ready for me to explain bit torrents, best you have something potent in front of you to drink. ;)

porsche 928 LED locking buttons - eBay (item 260522403537 end time Dec-19-09 01:49:49 PST)

I'm not familiar with those things at all, and they could easily require connections to boxes etc that only exist on newer models.

Good Scotch is a little too dry for me. Personally, I'm a Gin drinker.:)
Gin & Tonic anyone?
Cheers,
Kerry

Wow, that reminds me of one summer of my misspent youth, the summer of gin and tonic. Can't drink it anymore, the tonic would kill me.

Could be those LED alarm things work with the standard alarm signals and could be fitted to any or most models. Worth finding out, one of the smart guys like Alan will know.

mitsy 12-18-2009 11:11 PM

i thought you guys only drank jack daniels and six packs of duff beer lol
