Digital Air/Fuel Ratio Meter hook up

Anyone have practical experience using the Innovate Autosports LM-2 on a 928? Specifically my recently acquired Euro 84 S - it has bungs welded in place on both headers, so should be easy to install the O2 sensor - but i have read about problems getting a good tach signal, they have a frequency pick up and a clamp on, not sure which woudl be best.
LM-2 Wideband O2 Digital Air/fuel Ratio Meter

Cheers
Neil

I haven't forgotten about the seats, just been kinda busy with the holidays coming up and all. I'll check in with you in a couple weeks to see if they are still available.

Hi Neil, yup I just did the Innovate set up and it's awesome. I know "Exactly" what my A/F is All times. It also helped me troubleshoot a lean condition at high rpms. Calibrating is kind of a pain but well worth it.

Hi, Leo - I recall seeing your post, I am looking at the handhled LM-2 unit, which seems to be the same functionaility, but with a RPM channel as well, and was wondering if the frequency sensor ( picks up pulses via the O2 sensor apparently), actually works on a 928, or if the inductive pickup is better ( will work?).

I need to get under the euro anyway and see what i have, i do see separate pipes into what looks like a small cat - may be a X Over- - each pipe has a bung in it for an O2 sensor - but none fitted, then separate pipes all the way back to the muffler and out. There does not appear to be a O2 sensor hooked up, and the BAR tag does not indicate it, and the last CA smog test has O2 sensor marked as N/A -
getting interesting!

I don't have the Innovate gauge, I have the PLX devices wideband A/F meter, but one of these is something that I recommend EVERYONE install. This one device will allow you to diagnose almost all driveability issues. Probably the best modification I have made to any car.

I am thinking about tune and swap the narrow band O2 back in. I'd prefer to leave it in and always know my A/F, but what I have been told is that the wideband doesn't last long, less than half a dozen dyno tuning sessions. Depending on the results you both get, maybe I will change my mind.

I am still not sure what that means as far a longevity. I've had mine in for months without issue. Can you point us in the direction where it may state this?
