Wow, I remember working for US Customs up there on the Washington/Canadian Border and visiting Vancouver Island a few times to stay and/or shop. Your dollar sucked which made it great for us (USA). Albeit that was 10 years ago. Your almost 1 for 1 now. You need to Buy Now before your dollar goes down again

1 Canadian dollar = 0.96918 U.S. dollars

Ahh I just read the other post about frozen calipers, might be a better idea to combine both threads for continuity if this is ever searched.

FWIW making lots of threads about similar things will soon get lost in the shuffle, you have 3 threads about brakes .
My suggestion is to try to keep all of the brake info in one thread, you will usually get more concise answers as the thread progress can more easily be followed

to clean them up up, you can use ordinary paint remover to take off the old paint (leave the pistons in the caliper when doing this, don't get any paint remover in the brake line passages either).

Paint with high temp engine paint, your choice of color. I prefer red myself, but original for your car would be black. Yellow might be a way to go as your car is blue?

So what wrong with disc's? Chromed or Polished up they look super. The S4 7 and 8's are obviously better than the earlier 7's all around. Lends an updated look to the early cars I think. Besides, there aren't any staggered phone dials.

I beg to differ on the Staggered PD's. They are out there. I believe they were staggered on the 944 Turbos. Anyways, back to the Man Hole Covers (Dish's). Follow me here brotha, your getting or have nice Brembos that you "WILL" want to show off. With Dish's, you will be covering them. You might as well get some Moon Discs for your rims.

But I guess if your not worried about anyone seeing them, then leave the way they are and just wipe them down.

Yech, Chevy cavalier! The wheel covers some how make an uninspired/unattractive car even more so.

depends on how big your wallet is.

I personally like the biggest fattest thing I stuff under one, but others prefer what came on the car from OEM. many OEM Porsche wheels will fit the 928, but you should be very careful with wheel offsets----some work, others do not.

there are many possibilities until you get to anything past 11 inches wide and a 315 series tire----speaking of the rear here.

fronts can handle the standard 8 inch or 8.5's from other P-cars.

wheels

Yes, I should have been more specific on the offset part of the wheels on what works and what wont or do you need spacers to match the exact stock offset?

again, it depends on which wheels you are looking at.

my 997 Carrera wheels are:

19x8 et 65 mm
19x11 et 67mm

I have a small 7mm spacer with each wheel set to keep things from rubbing--not necessary on the fronts, but necessary on the rears as the rim would hit the lower shock mount with the inside of the wheel.

your car should be able to handle these sizes without much fuss. some rolling of the rear fender lip may be required, depending on how big the tire is (315's will require rolling fenders).

anything larger than this (rear), will require GTS or similar fender extensions.

spacers will help if inside rubbing is an issue, or if you want to move the wheel towards the outside to "fill" the wheel opening---make the car look like it has wider wheels, but it really doesn't--if you understand what I mean.
