Odometer gear wheel

Can someone tell me how many teeth there are on the odometer drive in a170MPH speedometer - i want to make sure i have one on hand before i strip it down to minimize down time - I have a couple but they are not identified as to what they fit - also who has them?

It looks like they only have a US and Euro Spec Gears, but maybe a quick email may answer your teeth question.

note there are different tooth count gears they might look the same but you really need to count the teeth to make sure you have the correct one

How can you count the teeth when these gears come out in a jillion pieces?

if your careful and use a good magnifying glass you should be able to get an accurate count. IE I was going to swap one out on a 928 and use a part from a 951 the teeth on the 951 were 46 the 928 had 49
