Will This over heat the heads

I was thinking of removing the cats and having two straight pipes made in their place with the cross over between the two. I will even have them weld the nut in the crossover pipe for the O2 sensor, and the nipples for those other two sensors (what ever they are)
BUT!! will this allow to much heat to build up in the heads.
I would hate for the valve seats to come loose or to burn a valve.

ILL be leaving the resonators in but may go to a glass pack style muffler.

Car will stink a little from lack of cats, but a "non cat" X or Y pipe is easy to find and no issues I know of.

Glass packs don't flow as well as modern mufflers, like a single chamber Magnaflow.

Magnaflow makes a really nice X pipe that would work well on a 928. They also sell a straight thru dual tube SS muffler (kind of a siamesed dual glasspack in concept) that also would look, fit, and function well. I'm planning on using both on my shark. The muffler goes for about $130, and the X pipe about $100.

Roger is a great source. I would highly suggest you give him a call about the X pipe, or any other parts you may need. His prices and service are very good.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. Do you have a link for those pipes and prices. It may help others as I took my pipes and cad assm down to the local muffler shop to have a set of pipes built. to late for me to change that now.
