Question PET Wrong?

I just ran my vin thru pet and it comes up saying I have an 1986. The vehicle is registered as an 1983. Is pet wrong or is it my registration?
Vin# WP0JB0925DS861655

The "D" in your VIN # denotes an '83.

FYI :
E is '84
F is '85
etc.

I means the same as M apparently, just something internally different to Porsche, but pet doesn't decode it, other sites do, just use M instead of I to lookup.

My '91 hasn't got an option sticker - no idea why, but can anyone tell me what WP0ZZZ92ZMS800430 had when new? I can't get PET7 to work properly yet.

Cheers

PET7 has a box to enter the vin, then click and it talks to Porsche and gets the info.

When searched for, PET7 does return an extremely small number of hits here...

PET7 isn't easy to get and get working. I posted a link to one source and Leo felt it included too much on screen porn offers to use at work, but I don't know of a cleaner source. Also what you download is in russian or something, and it can take some time to get the language switched to what you prefer. Sorry, but so far no easy answer.

Funny, I tried Autocheck & Carfax a week or 2 ago and both told me they couldn't check vehicles older than '81. I'll look again.

Thank you for looking at it for me
