Very cool A/F guage. Does it run off off a thermocouple, or an extra oxy sensor?

It's run on it's only O2 Sensor. My Euro never had an O2, I'm CIS. I just got a Magnaflow Cat with an O2 Bung. I am using the Innovate A/F kit which includes a Bosch Wideband O2. The kit also includes a weld-on O2 Bung so you can put it anywhere pre-cat.

-My '85 S2 uses an iPod-based sound system. I have a Pioneer head unit that allows me to pick songs from the stereo. My iPod is inside my center arm-rest, and it includes a bus device that allows the iPod to converse with the stereo head.

Sounds like a good idea right? WRONG! It is so friggin' slow that I can barely use it! I have to change my iTunes so that each artist is a playlist; Then I can actually find what I want. Before that I spent 10 minutes on the side of the road trying to find my songs-! Hello!

Listen: This Pioneer combo that uses the iPod and a bus device to allow the head unit to control the iPod? This is garbage. I'm planning on pulling it this week, and mounting it in my boat, a '96 16-foot Larson that has no stereo so far. All my tunes come from my iPod, but my car is so loud that I don't really care. I'll wait until a decent stereo comes on the market that can play my iPod tunes through the head.

My Alpine also has the iPod connector that I run to my Glovebox. There I have my Nano. I still haven't figured out how to use Playlists and Stuff, so i just hit next or previous on my Alpine and it changes music fine. I think I only paid about $200 for my Stereo.

I see in the electrical PDF that My stereo is connected to the throttle and to the alarm. It shows it going to what's called a booster (must mean a Amp).
I would like to incorporate the alarm at least into my complete audio replacement but I can not find anything in the manual as to where the original components are. Can anyone help

In my 82, there were three components for the stereo. The head unit, a radio processor behind the head unit sitting on the tunnel, and the amp under the cover beside the pax seat.

I installed an Alpine CDA-105 last week, finally got all the speakers changed out, and the powered sub installed yesterday, and the system sounds fantastic, plus my iPhone integration works flawlessly. Haven't tried the Bluetooth feature yet.

I pulled the entire factory system, and it had no effect on the operation of the car nor the alarm. I also bypassed the factory fader mounted beside the driver seat.

I will probably need to shave down the center console trim piece like MPDano did, but I'm not looking forward to that.

I should be completely finished with the stereo install next week.

Use a Dremel and do it slow. Little bit at a time. No worries.
