928 WorldWide.com/company still runnin?
Does anyone know if this company still running? He is not selling items on ebay anymore and is not a registered member. I've tried to contact him since I already paid for parts but I haven't heard anything back. Any clues about what's going on?
|
He's long gone and has posted his business for sale a few weeks back. Not sure if it's worth it for you to pursue him. Let us know if you find anything out.

re 928worldwide
im in the area, actually about 40 mins from shop, i do believe he is selling biz. anyway i picked up a 82 928 for parts for sale, anything in particular ur looking for, let me know, sorry about your transaction with 928, HOWEVER, i bought from him here locally and the deal went great, very smooth, and the part works great!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1278976381.jpg
this is the one im parting out |
I stopped selling 928 parts.
The Website and inventory is for sale. Please work it out with paypal if you paid through there, if not, contact me at sales@928worldwide.com and I will review any claim. I saw several cases opened on paypal that they immediately refunded the buyer- no reason to expect otherwise for you. I will assist you anyway I can. Too many bogus claims and non paying bidders etc etc.... |

Complaints: Protecting Pennsylvanians - Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General
Thanks for this information from another forum. I will be filing a complaint if Mason chooses not to honor his sale with me. I have, saved in our complete e-mail history, his word stating he will do so. I'll give him some (more..) time to respond to my latest post and e-mails. If not, this seems to be the legitimate and appropriate way to file a complaint. I would urge you to do so also Kamet, and anyone else who has a legitimate outstanding claim if it goes unsettled. Our transaction was not handled through e-bay. |
Replacement parts were shipped to you Ben. Be patient.
|
Paypal monies on the last few transactions I ran were withheld from me and I never recv'd the funds.... this is why I suggested dealing with paypal direct....As it seems they refunded everyone, or will not leave anything open.... Sorry for any confusion.... The transition to new owners was a bit bumpy.
|
I guess he could not take the heat and got out of it. Funny I saw this coming.
|
Judging by the posts, I would assume this is not his fault.... totally.
I had an internet business for 13 years... then i switched to paypal and it was shut down within a week. Huge mess. I know from past expeirince that you will be doing both parties a favor if you file a paypal claim. Paypal will reward you your refund. I restarted my business with a merchant acct and am trying to rebuild. I was a "Horror Story Of The Month" at paypalsucks.com. I even built a website with free info on how to make an internet business and strongly sugest NOT using paypal. Home - Start A Business yourself. Paypal if great for a buyer but horrible for a seller. I lost a boat and $1000's which paypal still has locked up. |

Now multiply your experience times 2 years and many more thousands in losses....and be willing to suck it up and take on the chin while dealing with very harsh public criticism by cowards who aren't legit.... JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE CAR, and many of the (RIGHTEOUS) owners. It didn't add up. But I turned a few heads didn't I? lol..... and they said it wouldn't last . IT will out survive my ownership for a long time. People can talk about me, and say what they think I am. That's nothing new since day one. For most of you, I delivered. The rest were failed by 25 year old parts not meeting their stringent criteria. <Nothing Personal against Mark @ Intl, I respect him totally and think he is a warm and caring person with the 928 and all it's details well in hand, and had great vision for getting started with this Porsche underdog so many years ago...I just know that the prices they charge made owning a 928 difficult for me, and decided to get off my fat butt and do something about. 928ww, it's 1000's of orders, and subsequent SALE OF THE ENTIRE OPERATION to a new owner has made me feel vindicated in my endeavor, and proven the merit of my experiment. After all, that's what it was. AND NO, I'm no trust fund kid. Not even close...... anyone who knows me knows this. There just is no reason to pay these prices (and the public very obviously agreed): $400 Leather Door Panel THIS ONE is interesting. When I had 10 on ebay for $200 the price on 928intl.com was similar. Look at it today ($400) This one is creeping back up too I sold about 5 of these in mint condition for around $200 So the gang bangers of the 928 world (who are all mega geek puzzies for sure- not ONE would EVER throw down, but all will chatter away ) think it matters what they say?.... they always thought that. IT DOES NOT. I wrote the history of my experiment chapter by chapter. I made the choices which caused any success or failure. I am glad to know all of you, and as I said before, am eager to rejoin the ranks of hobbyist 928 owners who still enjoy their cars..... One thing you will not see, is me selling 928 parts again.... I got my fill and am moving on to the next challenge- after all, that's my M.O. in case ya didn't know..... M |
Mason, I would still appreciate a tracking number for the parts you sent. I have no way of knowing if you actually sent them. It can't be that hard to contact UPS and find out where the 'missing' package is. How long do you reasonably expect me to be patient? You've made empty promises twice now and have strung me along for over a month. A little proof of shipment? Not unreasonable all things considered. I'll give you a week to produce the parts or give my verifiable information on they're location. Then, parts or no parts I will file complaint with the state of PA wherever that my lead. This is ridiculous.
As for stringent expectations of parts? One cam cover had a HOLE in it. The intake manifold had severe corrosion around the mating surfaces. There is a thread with pictures on Rennlist for those interested in viewing. I did not make the decision if the part was usable. I asked the group. Their concensus was that the part was bad, so I got in touch with you and you agreed to send a different one. I'm done publicly posting about this mess. Mason, between you and me I would love to get the parts and be done with this. I'll give it a week and you the benifit of the doubt one last time. If they're lost in the mail I hope they find their way to my home and you can provide legit tracking information. My complaint will be filed next Friday if you can't find a way to make that happen. If you have any words you'd like to exchange with me about the missing parts you know how to reach me via e-mail and RL pm. |
Mason - you once again prove that you are a world class *******. You just don't get it, and you never will. Bye bye!

Sorry to hear about this Mason. I had many good transactions. Thanks for the time you had.

Mason, any update on my parts that were 'lost' in the mail 2 weeks ago?
Is the buyer of your business aware of your outstanding claims and will he/she be honoring the people you didn't settle accounts with? |
Ben,
They were returned to us yesterday, I guess the address was wrong. Strange the same thing happened when you sent your return in. Sending again to John BLocker dr. I'm using stamps.com and it doesn't track packages...POS |
Mason, send it UPS or Fedex and PM me the bill. I'll cut you a check for shipping if you can provide me a tracking number.
PM sent with my address again for you to double check. |
Mason, I am waiting on a warrenty item I sent a over 2 weeks ago and have not got another one back yet. Mason you said in your e-mail to me that you were on vacation but that you were going to get it taken care of it. This was over a week and a half ago. I have called and left a message and e-mailed several times. I would just like to know if there is one on the way. No one has returned a call or e-mail about it. This is in regards to a cruise module for a 1981 928. My e-mail is por9172002, Im in GA. I just need to know what the status is so I can move on with the car.
RH This seemed the only way to get a response from you. |
COMPLAINT FILED WITH STATE OF PA.
Mason, this includes the official complaint form from the state of PA, our entire e-mail history up to this point and a printed version of this Pelican thread. |

last time i spoke with Mason he was trying to save his company so I would say he's gone and that's it i sent parts back and got sent wrong ones not worth it and gave up and went else where i would say he's gone and don;t send money in any way cus you going to lose it |
Folks, please file a claim with the consumer protection agency of PA as appropriate legal action! I've lost hope in recieving my parts.. (but still send him PM's and e-mails. I will not let him off the hook.) With enough claims hopefully Masons credit/credibility will be damaged. I hate to say that but the thought of him setting up another business to scam people and take advantage of them has me outraged. Perhaps we can prevent him causing loss to more unsuspecting people in the future. Mason should feel some reprecussions to his appauling actions. I hope the state does all in its power to see that happens.

Ben,
Your claim was valid and I sent you replacements...End of story. Any further 928ww parts related warranty claims will be handled by the new owner. I made a provision for that, because it was fair. Anything else is just BS, and spare yourself the hype...(and everyone else). |

Mason, what about my issue, no response even still, are you going to send me a cruise module or not, or at least send me the one I bought from you. Are you only going to respond to the people who file a criminal complaint against you. I have been very patient and still haven't recieved a single e-mail or anything from you guys. What is the problem!
RH from GA |
I am kinda wondering who this new owner is and when he will start to help guys like you out.
Isn't this what is supposed to happen? Lemme hide behind the couch now |

Mason, in response to your PM, no I have not recieved the cam cover or the intake. End of story. :) The only hype I can see here is that you've spent 9 weeks attempting to box and ship a part. Please don't get sick again, or forget them under your desk, or go on vacation, or get the address wrong....
PA CPA will hopefully process the complaint and we'll go from there. I contacted James (pottsie webber) yesterday about handling Masons cleanup. Waiting to hear his reply, but feel bad having to ask that question at all. I'm sure that's not what he'd like to be doing with a fledgling business. I am not a fan of stirring the pot like this. For everyone with a claim I am sorry. Making a huge stink seems to be the only way to get anything from Mason. Or at least draw attention to him. |
I view this as a slow motion business suicide that we all saw coming...
The death throws aren't quite over yet it seems... Unfortunate for those stuck with unfulfilled order closure issues - however I think there was a fair amount of warning here... sad ending Alan |
I don't think people getting into this business had a clue about why 928Intl could sell parts for the prices they do, and how little of those sales they could get with slightly lower prices.
Also when 928Intl and the other BIG used parts sellers stopped buying every 928 at the insurance auctions, dozens of smaller wrecking yards starting picking them up and selling parts. Never in the history of 928's has there been a worse time to be selling used parts. |

That is very kind. Reading that reminded me of Boy Scouts. :) |
lets not forget 928INTL also sells the best rebuilt steering racks,
and I would venture a guess that also goes for any other rebuilt parts they sell |
Well still no response from Mason or the new owner, Very disappointing:(
|
see pm rich
|
Any PM's for me Mason? Any update on the second round of shipping? Still no parts over here either.
