antenna replacement

i was wondering if anybody has done a roof mount antenna replacement on a '88 928? i've taken the cover off for the sunroof motor and dropped it down, but i don't see any access to the antenna. do i have to drop the ceiling panel to the rear of the access cover? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I mounted a Shark Fin Antenna on mine. It's on the Rear Hatch area. I got it off eBay and it's amplified and also supports satellite. My headliner was off when I mounted it so not sure if you need to remove it or not.
