FS: Lettering For 78-86 Rear Bump Cover Black

Anyone need the lettering for a 928/S rear Bumper Cover in Black? Bought these for Ol' #1 years ago and never put them on. Gave it my Brother, but he sold the car while I was in Germany. Don't need it for my 928. They go for for like $40 as I recall. Make me a decent offer and they are yours.

Are these the letters that fit inside the PORSCHE script on the rear bumper and stick out around 1/16"?

If so, i'll take them. Send me an email to garylewa@sbcglobal.net with price and we will go from there.

Do you take Paypal?

-Thanks, Gary

That is where they go, but they don't stick out. It's just the standard lettering in black.

That sucks! Did you send money or did you Paypal? I always try to use Paypal since at least you can file a case. If you sent a Check, then cancel it. If it's Cash or Money Order, I think your just gonna have to eat this one. What a bummer!

Whew! A great ending to a situation that started to look grim. Glad you got 'em. Now post pics of them on your bumper! Before and After.

Hello All,

Haven't checked in lately.

Dane,
Thanks for the plug on my lettering. You forgot only one detail: The black lettering is of a 3M material that reflects bright WHITE at night when everyone's headlight shine on your rear bumper. (And with YOUR 928, everyone is ALWAYS behind you!!!)
Take a flash photo of your bumper at night and post it here for all to see.
I'll buy you a fine beer for your effort. We can meet up at Wheelihans in Blue Bell again sometime. A fine watering hole.

Anyway and to all,
I plan on being more active in this web forum offering what I can through my experience and knowledge of 928s et al. I have been a regular member of Rennlist until I learned of Pelican. If anyone wants to investigate me on that forum or to know any on my two cents about 928, I am known as 'Stylmobile' there.
If you find it (them) try to ignore the ugly post(s) regarding an issue I had with a fellow member there. I am trying to put it in the past and not rehash the issue. I will only share the tale over a good brew and even then will not allow myself to get re-worked up about it. Humor and moving forward will prevail.

If anyone is interested in my rear bumper black reflective lettering (other colors are also available), I will post a proper advertisement in the articles for sale section. Or just PM or email me.

Cheers and Happy Motoring,

Allen in Allentown, PA

Mr. Kiwi,
Allentown is a small town- only about 107,000 loyal subjects, er I mean inhabitants.

Best,

Allen

Thanks, Dane.
You make it so hard to be humble.
If I didn't drive a 928, you might think otherwise. (A left-handed compliment to all here on this forum.)

Best,

Allen
