ride height adjustment
I've tried to adjust my front ride height but no matter how many turns on the adjusting nut, nothing happens. I cannot see any thread on the shock barrel but can see from underneath, the thread on the adjusting nut. Can the ring inside spin with the nut? If so what is to be done short of taking the whole thing apart?

if the adjuster is spinning the internal collar then the only thing you can do is take the shock apart clean the thread and use some green loctite to glue the internal collar to the shock,
i just went through this as well also consider getting another set of used inner collars 928 INTL has them. the new to your car collars should fit better

Also, keep in mind, when making there adjustments the car needs to be driven for a good bit before changes will reflect with ride height.
Yes, if you're spinning the collar, you have bigger issues, but once you are adjusting properly always allow for car to "settle" after being adjusted. Just an FYI... Last edited by SharkTech; 08-30-2010 at 04:52 AM.. |

Lowering a 928 below stock is a dandy way to have all sorts of alignment and broken spoiler issues. Not a good idea for a street driven car, expensive in tires etc anyway.
