Question re:spedomoter again

Hi guy, checked my sensor on rear end, there was signal coming from there to the front. today while idling waiting for green light i noticed my speedometer was moving up to40 MPH and then down to zero.i touched the wires under the dash and it started doing it again, could this be a ground problem under the dash.

thanks. Ed.

I think you answered your question on your original post. There are a couple connectors under there that connect to your Instrument Panel. It could be the connections there or the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). Corrosion is all over our cars, so it's a lot of cleaning and brushing and cleaning and brushing.

I was having the same problem and what I did was take the pod out and remove the flexible circuit board and run some continuity checks. I found the pin that powers the speedo wasn't always getting power. So what I did was carefully solder the circuit board to the rivet. Then turned the board over and solder the rivet to the metal strip and the strip to the pin that powers the speedo and now it works all the time. If you never had the pod out you can go search for Dwayne's garage and he shows you step by step how to do it.
