1st & 5th question .. 1982 928

Okay well now that my clutch is back in working order after my clutch master cylinder and slave where replaced ..... I can start diving in to a new problem . the car wants to pop out of 1st gear and will not give me 5th at all .. the clutch is not slipping at all or making any funny noises I touched on this once before in a post but wanted to go over it again by itself ... please let me know what I should have replaced or checked next .....

thanks for all the help ...
Justin

Put the trans in neutral,
Then, get under the car and loosen the 13mm bolt on the shifter rod clamp, just in front of the trans axle
Then you need an assistant to hold the shift lever centered with the trans in neutral, then tighten the bolt
Road test if this doesnt make things better then you may have either a worn front shifter ball cup or worn rear shifter linkage
or the worst internal transmission troubles in that case you can drive the car starting in 2nd to 4th to get it to a shop to pull out the trans
