GTS engine and gearbox spotting?
 

Couple of questions please:

(1) Is the GTS engine code located at the same place as all other 928's, ie. here?

(2) Any way to tell a GTS manual-gearbox from an S4 gearbox?
- that is, when buying the car. Gearbox in car.

1 Engine codes are all in the same place it will tell you what block you have-

GTS trans 1992 to 1995 should be G28.57,
it should also have an oil cooler and a PSD fitted quite a bit different looking from an S4 unit

G28.13 1987 to 1988 5 sp
G28.55 1988 1989 CS and adopted to the 928GT 1989 to 1991 should have PSD

- transmission pictures seems few, tried google, but will need to search a bit more still.
